After viewing over this article I couldn’t resist posting it. Today, we are explicitly barraged by advertisement luring kids into the enticement of capitalism rather than creating a participatory society that cares about ideals of critical thinking, self-reliance, sustainable living and general autonomy. Fortunately, if we recognize the aggression of marketing tactics aimed at our youth, we can than counter act those Big corporate marketing stunts, simply by controlling how we spend that all mighty dollar and keeping our kids well educated.
Parents, be warned: It takes only a single visit to McDonald’s for your child to get hooked on the greasy stuff for life.

These parents aren’t raging against the health detriments of fast food. Instead, they are making a conscious effort to limit the amount of branding and advertising their kids are exposed to in all aspects of their lives; what they eat, wear, watch and play with.
It’s not easy. Brands are everywhere — literally.
